Museum of the Future inaugurated in Dubai: Conception, unique aspects, what to expect and things to keep in mind while visiting

Museum of the Future, Dubai: A few days ago, the Museum of the Future was inaugurated in Dubai. The building is an eye-grabber for its unique shape, and for the void that is included within it. The museum is elliptical, with an elliptical void inside it. Despite having no columns, the building has seven floors and is 77 metres high. While architect Shaun Killa designed the museum and was its architect, the creation of the museum has been undertaken by the Dubai Future Foundation. Kerala Tourism to roll out aggressive promotional campaigns across the country, targeting diverse segments ranging from family holidayers to working professionals, from adventure-seeking backpackers to honeymooners. Suspension of scheduled international passenger flights extended till further orders: DGCA

The suspension of scheduled international passenger flights in the country has been extended “till further orders”, aviation regulator DGCA said on Monday. On January 19, the suspension was extended till February 28. Scheduled international passenger flights have been suspended in India since March 23, 2020, following the outbreak of the coronavirus. However, special passenger flights have been operating between India and around 45 countries since July 2020 under air bubble arrangements formed with them. In a circular on Monday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) stated: “The competent authority has decided to extend the suspension of scheduled international commercial passenger services to/from India till further orders.” This restriction will not apply to international all-cargo operations and flight specifically approved by the DGCA, it mentioned. Delhi National Zoological Park to re-open from March 1; everything you should know

Delhi Zoo: The zoo authorities announced today that National Zoological Park, Delhi will re-open from March 1 with an online ticket system. The zoo was shut on January 5 on a temporary basis due to the rising number of covid-19 cases. The portal for the ticket booking was disabled on January 4 itself. All the supervisors in the Delhi zoo have been asked to ensure strict Covid-19 compliance and that the covid appropriate behavior is being followed as the zoo is all set to reopen for visitors. The zoo was opened for visitors on August 1 last year (2021) but it was then shut for over two months due to Delta covid variant wave in the country. The facility was earlier shut for visitors in March 2020 when a pandemic hit the country. Then again, in January last year, it was closed due to the bird flu scare. IndiGo to start flights between Kadapa & five cities from March 27 onwards

IndiGo on Thursday said it will start flights connecting Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh to five cities in southern India from March 27 onwards. “The airline will commence new exclusive flights between Kadapa-Chennai, Kadapa-Vijayawada, Kadapa-Bangalore, Kadapa-Vishakhapatnam, and new flights between Kadapa-Hyderabad,” the airline said in a release. Kadapa will be the 73rd city in the country to be connected with IndiGo flights, it noted. Portals of Badrinath temple are all set to reopen on May 8 after the winter break. The Uttarakhand administration is taking all the possible measures and carrying out extensive preparation to ensure the security of the route. Hospitality industry body FHRAI on Tuesday said it has submitted a representation to Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia seeking his intervention to avoid disruptions in flight movements at the Port Blair Airport. The Andaman & Nicobar Command has directed shutting down the only runway of Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair for four days a week from March to May 2022 for its re-carpeting work and a NOTAM has been issued in this regard. The Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India’s (FHRAI) stated that the closure of the runway poses a serious threat to the hospitality and tourism industry in the Union Territory which has already suffered 75- 80 per cent revenue loss due to the pandemic. Regular international flights likely to resume from March 15, say govt sources

Regular international flights are likely to resume from March 15 and will follow the standard operating procedures effective at Indian airports for foreign arrivals and departure, government sources said on Monday. Given the consistent decline in Covid cases, a decision on resuming scheduled international flights has almost been arrived at by the Civil Aviation Ministry following consultation with the Health Ministry, they said. However, no official announcement has been made by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation so far. “Regular International flights is likely to resume from March 15. The Guidelines for International Arrivals, which came into effect from February 14, will be followed at airports for the passengers of these flights,” an official source said. The number of daily air passengers is expected to cross pre-COVID levels in the next two months, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on Monday and also urged states to reduce tax on jet fuel to boost the country’s aviation sector. During the pre-COVID times, domestic airlines carried around 4 lakh passengers per day and the number began climbing up after second wave but again declined after the emergence of Omicron infections late last year. Telangana: Medaram Jatara begins, 1.25 crore footfall expected to celebrate Adivasi icons Sammakka and Sarakka

The Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism and Hospitality (FAITH) on Wednesday unveiled the ‘Vision 2035’ road map outlining strategic pillars to achieve tourism goals to mark the 75th year of India’s Independence. New Delhi: The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has directed health officials and district magistrates to ensure the Centre’s revised COVID-19 guidelines for international arrivals are followed at the IGI Airport from Monday. The Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on February 10 released detailed guidelines for international arrivals at airports and seaports in the country, doing away with the quarantine provision. According to the guidelines, all the passengers will show self-declaration form on arrival at the airport. The passengers found to be symptomatic during screening will be immediately isolated and taken to medical facility under health protocol. If tested positive, their contacts will be identified and managed as per laid down protocol. The protocol post arrival mandates that two per cent of the total passengers in a flight will undergo random testing at the airport. The Mughal Gardens — often referred to as the soul of the presidential palace — will open for the public today, Rashtrapati Bhavan said in a statement. Ram temple construction: Work going as per plan, Lord Ram’s idol to be installed by 2023, says trust member

Work on the construction of Ram Temple at Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya is going as per plans and original timeline. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra member Anil Mishra informed the ANI that the target is to install the idol of Lord Ram in the sanctum sanctorum by 2023 for the devotees to visit the shrine and start offering prayers. Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust was delegated the task of  undertaking the construction of the temple in February 2020. The trust was constituted with former principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nripendra Misra as its chairman. A two-day meeting of the temple construction committee was held in Ayodhya.
